R:BASE Software Assurance Plans (R:SAP)

An enhanced maintenance program that helps you get the most out of your R:BASE investment!

Typically, when R:BASE Licenses are purchased, the following services are provided:

  • 30 Days Complimentary Support for installation and elementary conversion issues
  • Continued product bug fixes for one year from the software purchase date
  • Continued product enhancements for one year from the software purchase date
  • Periodic product activations of license transfers and/or reinstallations for one year from the software purchase date

Historically, with each released update, R:BASE Technologies, Inc. offered bug fixes and enhancements that make your application development much easier.

An R:BASE Software Assurance Plan (R:SAP) is essentially an extension of the above services for your registered R:BASE software beyond one year from the software purchase date. R:SAP allows customers to receive ongoing updates for their specific software version that not only include bug fixes but also requested enhancements for another year or more. Customers can stay up-to-date on the latest technology improvements by automatically receiving software updates and maintenance releases. Additionally, customers can reduce their application development time with direct access to technical documents and sample applications.

Economically, subscribing to an R:SAP also allows R:BASE Technologies, Inc. to provide continued product satisfaction throughout a product's life cycle and beyond.

An active R:SAP, annually renewable, will allow any customer using current versions, such as R:BASE 11 for Windows, to receive ongoing updates for their specific version until the official release of the next major version.

An R:SAP can be purchased at the same time as your software, or after the one year of free updates are provided. If you purchase an R:SAP at the same time of your software purchase, the plan price will be discounted by 5%.

Without a Software Assurance Plan, organizations will be missing out on:

  • access to productivity enhancements and bug fixes
  • licensing and support for cloud, server, and desktop deployments
  • performance, stability, and security updates
  • downloads for install packages

R:BASE Software Assurance Plan Terms:
  • Allows customers to receive updates for their licensed products, that include bug fixes and requested enhancements for one year
  • Periodic licensed product activations, for license transfers and/or reinstallations
  • Valid for 1 year from the date of purchase
  • Payment for all plans must be received prior to being effective
  • Does not include free upgrades towards future product releases

  • UPGRADE License Policy:
    To be eligible for Upgrade software pricing, you must be licensed for the qualifying software you are upgrading from.
    Upon installation, the new license agreement takes the place of the agreement of the qualifying software you upgraded
    from. After you upgrade, you may no longer use the software you upgraded from.
  • The availability of software support services is subject to a Software Assurance Plan that has not exceeded the End of
    Service Contract Renewal Date for the R:BASE version.
