The "Views" section of the Database Explorer provides menu options to manage your R:BASE database views.
•New View... - creates a new view. Selecting this option will prompt you with whether or not you want to use the Query Wizard to aid you in designing your new query, or if you want to go directly to the Query Builder. Answering Yes to this message will start the Query Wizard, and No will place you directly in the Query Designer. •Open View - opens the selected view in the Data Browser to view the data •Open View WHERE... - launches a dialog to add a WHERE Clause and change the browse mode when opening the selected view in the Data Browser •Open View As... - opens the selected view in the Data Browser to view the data as a grid, row view, or tree grid •Edit View... - opens the selected view in the Query Builder module to edit the view definition •Edit View In R:BASE Editor... - opens the selected view in the R:BASE Editor to edit the view definition •Copy View... - copies the selected view to a new view •Rename View... - renames the selected view to a new name •Delete View(s)... - deletes the selected view(s) •Export Data - offers several export options for the view data •Unload Structure... - unloads the structure for one or more selected views, where all views are placed within a single file •Unload Structure (Multi-file)... - unloads the structure for one or more selected views, where each view is placed into a separate file •Change Comment... - alters the comment for the selected view •Find Column in View... - opens a search utility to locate column names in views •Refresh - refreshes the view list in the right pane of the Database Explorer •Help - opens the Database Explorer Help
When right clicking in the Work Space, the menu options are also available. |
